Last week we went to see an exhibit of the proposed new entrance canopies for the Victorian market in Inverness. It is a bit disappointing that none of the proposals consider the actual structure of the new canopy as part of their design. I would have thought this crucial.
I suppose this is because none of the designs are actually proposing a canopy which is disappointing because the ceilings of the entrances are remarkably unpleasant at present (not to mention the fact the brief was for a canopy?!). I do like the idea of the colorful tiles though, they could be a nice bright 'yellow brick road' to pull people in.
